Falling into a state of increased dereliction over the last decade, the Crumlin Shopping Centre has become an unfortunate blight on the local landscape in recent years.

Plans by Dunnes Stores to redevelop the centre are very welcome and long overdue. I’m pleased to say that thanks to the new Dublin City Development Plan’s focus on sustainable development, many aspects of the proposed redevelopment are very green, including green roofs, sustainable urban drainage, rainwater harvesting, bike parking and landscaping. However there’s always room for improvement and you can read my comments, concerns and requests for improvements here.
